Available through November 30, 2020: K-12 EBSCO Research Databases

UDLib/SEARCH is pleased to provide access to a large suite of EBSCO databases and ebooks covering a variety of topics at levels K-12 through November 30, 2020!  In addition to providing articles, images, videos, and lesson plans, these databases include eBooks at the elementary, middle,  and high school level. 

Topics covered in the EBSCO trial include arts and literature, business and government, geography, health, history, science, math, and current events.  These databases can be accessed on the UDLib/SEARCH Trial Databases Page.

Databases in the EBSCO Trial:

Explora Primary Schools, Middle Schools, and Secondary Schools
The Explora products include newspapers, eBooks, literary criticism, poetry, and education resources.  this platform contains unique access to some of the top educational titles, such as TimeThe AtlanticCongressional Digest, and much more.

NoveList K-8 Plus
NoveList K-8 Plus provides read-alike recommendations specifically for younger readers. It helps kids find books that are just right for their reading level and interests. Parents, teachers, and librarians can also find tools to teach with books and engage young readers.

NoveList Plus contains expert read-alike recommendations to help users find their next great read.  Book reviews and reading lists are also included.

Literary Reference Center Plus
Literary Reference Center Plus covers all genres and time frames. It includes thousands of full-text poems, short stories, synopses, critical essays, literary journals, reference books and author biographies, plus lesson plans and literary study guides. It gives students a complete foundation of literary reference works.

Poetry & Short Story Reference Center
Poetry & Short Story Reference Center is a rich full-text database of hundreds of thousands of classic and contemporary poems, plus thousands of short stories, biographies, essays, lesson plans and learning guides. It also includes high-quality videos and audio recordings from the Academy of American Poets.

History Reference Center
History Reference Center includes content from peer-reviewed journals, reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books, biographies, primary source documents, images, 83+ hours of historical video, and more.

Points of View Reference Center
Points of View Reference Center includes content from leading political magazines, newspapers, radio and television news transcripts, primary source documents, and more.

Science Reference Center

Science Reference Center includes content from science periodicals, science reference books and encyclopedias, biographies of scientists, more than 2,000 science videos, as well as science lesson plans.
